The world's biggest wine festival, the Durkheimer Wurstmarkt has been going strong for about 590 years. Although this fair is called Wurstmarkt, it's famous for its celebration of excellent local wines from Germany's second largest wine growing region, the Palatinate. Visitors to the festival will be able to sample over 150 wines from the region, enjoy live music, and - of course - eat a wurst or two.
